The Southwest Alabama Water Authority System serves approximately 1,732 customers and consists of:

Three (3) water supply wells with a combined capacity of 700 gallons per minute. Well #1 and Well #2 are tested at the source with the addition of chlorine for disinfection. Well #3 is treated at the source with the addition of chlorine and Aqua-Meg for iron removal.

Four (4) storage tanks with a total combined storage capacity of 705,750 gallons. One (1) 150,000 gallon ground storage tank–Midway Tank; One (1) 355,750 gallon ground storage tank–Ridge Road Tank; One (1) 100,000 gallon elevated tank–Franklin Tank; One (1) 100,000 gallon elevated tank–Ramah Tank.

Three (3) booster pump stations with a total capacity of 510 gallons per minute.

With over 305 miles of Distribution System Piping.

We serve Three (3) counties Monroe, Conecuh and Wilcox.
